Friend of a friend lost a chunk of his face to a dog bite. Went to the ED yesterday, they basically told him to apply a cream (exact kind unknown right now), dress with tape and gauze and “let it heal”.

While he waits to return home and see plastics, how would you dress this wound? I work in med device and have a lot of specialty dressings/gelling fiber, silver on hand and would love to help him dress this to keep it on the right track. Any advice would be appreciated!
