People underestimate the importance of getting the next "No.9" right

Barca has a long history of legendary number 9s, such as Lewa and Suarez, and with Pedri/Lamine etc creating chances, it's crucial that the person inheriting the shirt is the right man. Whether it's Alvarez, Osimhen or Joao Pedro, we need to trust Flick. If Flick has a preference, we should go all out because our striker has always been the 1st or 2nd highest paid player in the squad. With Bastoni rumours dying down, it's heavily implied that Flick's no.1 priority is striker and we should go as far as our finances allow for our target.

Szczęsny has quietly been the glue guy for our squad once again. Imagine you're Rashford and Roony and you can't speak Spanish, who do you go to for advice to fit in with the rest of the team? Uncle Tek is here! He has helped new faces integrate with the team and made the bench less miserable and more light-hearted, which is important if you play professional sports. He's the Scott Carson of Barca and I hope he continues to be our 2nd/3rd keeper. For some reason recently, I feel like team chemistry is quite important, you know

There's a new Heineken ad where Max Verstappen is seen cheering after Lamine Yamal scores a goal in the UCL as a partnership between Heineken and UEFA. Saw it on Youtube but cannot find it on Heineken's Youtube channel, anyone know where we can find it?

The question is NOT whether we need a striker, the question is whether we need a prolific goalscorer that can generate Haaland/Mbappe/Kane level numbers.

Bayern's front three has reached 100 goals and counting, which is reminiscent of our front 3 last season with Lamine, Raphinha and Lewa. Sad to say Lewa is getting old and we desperately need to replace that output given how much creativity we have in this team. Flick's style requires us to outscore teams so is a link up play specialist or false 9 really what we need? Is the key to our offence moreso a classic, pure goalscorer like Osimhen or Igor Thiago that dominates the box and presses like crazy out of possession?

In 2023, when Napoli won the scudetto, the whole team played around supporting the Kvara-Osimhen partnership, allowing to score more goals than ever before. Winger-striker partnerships like this are a key factor in succeeding in La Liga or the UCL so having subpar striker to replace Lewa might end up disastrously. For this reason, the first priority should be finding a striker to replace Lewa over any other position on the field.
