Alvarez is worth 100 million, if we are going for 150m - we should try to go for Haaland
Got hated on last time I said this, but Haaland is the signing we (Barca) need, Alavrez is worth 100million not more than that.
And don’t say Haaland ghosts in big games, that could be said for almost any player currently. Lamine and Haaland duo would be crazy, we need someone prominent in box and score goals through headers as well, we saw how Luuk de jong helped us survive and win games back in 2021 by scoring those headers against low block teams in La Liga and we are missing that currently.
If we are spending 150 million on Alvarez, might as well add more money and get Haaland, his wages will be a problem ( but considering we are selling Ansu fati, lewandowski gone, and frenkie de jong getting pay cut, I think we should be able to accommodate Haaland in that space) (as well are back 1:1 per some journalist and Barca news pages.)
If we get Alvarez for 100 million good, but not good if it’s 150 million, Barca should try to test through back door contact with Halaands agent and see if he is interested!
Rivaldo's 89th minute bicycle kick completes a hat-trick to win it 3-2 and send Barcelona to the Champions League on the final day of the season
Maybe I’m overreacting, but isn’t this a bit concerning, considering the huge price he has?
At 26 he is not a starter with his national team and even when he play he provides nothing special. Considering Barca is planning to spend 130-150M for him and considering he is not a pure striker. Do you think he is worth that investment also when we take in consideration our financial situation these past few years. What do you guys think?
Just picked up the new 2026/27 Barca Home Kit! Thoughts?
Hey everyone,
Just managed to get my hands on the new 2026/27 FC Barcelona home kit and wanted to share some clean shots!
What are your thoughts on this year's design?
Selling Raphinha would only make sense if we could sign Haaland
I think Raphinha should stay. He was injured for large portions of last season and during this WC but he was great per 90 in his output.
But if Saudi do really want him and Raphinha wants to leave due to his financial situation, we should only do it if we can make a serious bid for Haaland.
Haaland is only 25, and Haaland is at his best with a generational final third playmaker (KDB, Cherki). Just imagine Yamal and Haaland together. They are the perfect duo and complement each other well
A bid for 200-250 mil for Haaland could do the trick. If we do sell Raphinha, I hope we can raise the Saudi bid price to over 100 mil
If this deal with Alvarez does not go through, what happens to his career since he basically burned bridges with Atletico?
With his recent performances for Argentina it's clear he is not a player Barca should break their all-time record fee for, currently still held by Dembele for 148M.
He turns 26 now so I'd say he is entering his best years and under Flick he would become one of the best strikers itw.
Unless he apologizes for coming out and saying he wants to leave, he has to leave Atletico or rot on the bench.
There are other clubs that are interested that Atletico would sell for a lower fee for like Arsenal or PSG, but he already basically came out and said.
Which top club would want to be a second option for a 120M+ signing though?
Laporta basically has a moral obligation to bring him to Barca now.
How seriously do you take the Spanish Super Cup?
Scottish Celtic fan here with a soft spot for Barca (big Messi fan + my first European game was that 2-1), curious about how seriously the Super Cup is taken. I know in England the Community shield is basically a glorified friendly, but in Spain it’s four teams, mid season, and for Barca to win it usually means beating Real Madrid (Celtic could be playing rangers at rock paper scissors and I’d be dying to beat them so I assume that adds something).
Obviously it’s not as big as the league, cup or Europe, but how big is it? How much do you celebrate when you win/care when you lose?
Which World Cup players would you like Barca to go for after the World Cup?
Not asking for the flashiest names here, just players who genuinely fit the Barca mold. Technical, comfortable under pressure, smart on the pitch, and realistic price tags given where the club's finances are at.
Maybe, CBs who can actually defend but also play out from the back?
Wing-back? Someone with legs for 90 minutes, some attacking upside, and enough discipline to track back.
A proper veteran CB? Someone who organizes the line and talks the young guys through it when things get chaotic.
Someone to replace the hole after Lewy left? Doesn't have to be in defense either, could be midfield or just a locker room guy. Someone who sets the tone and calms things down when it's not going well. Don't need a superstar for this. Just someone with experience, football IQ, and the kind of presence that helps the kids grow while keeping the team stable when it counts.
Who would you want from what you saw?
[Carlos Monfort] Barcelona has appointed Yann-Benjamin Kuge as their Head of Fitness Department.
Planning to go to a Barca match in August
Hello,
I’m traveling to Spain in August and I want to go to the Barca vs Athletic opening match.
My questions are the following:
Is the section 4 any good? Seems like a nice spot, middle of the field and I can see both sides. I couldn’t find any pictures or videos of somone there. According to map I found on a view from my seat it seems to be where the plays get into the field.
Should I buy the tickets now on resale? I don’t want to lose the opportunity to buy the tickets when the full sale goes live but I also do not want to spend €400.
What would be the best advise on buying tickets?
Also, if I wait on buying them, how much will I be saving if I avoid the black market purchase?
Thank you!!
What do you think about Jules Koundé’s World Cup campaign so far?
Traveling for El Clásico (Oct 25) Do we actually need a Socio membership to get 2 tickets?
Hey everyone,
My friend and I are planning a trip to Barcelona for El Clásico on October 25th at the Spotify Camp Nou. We are trying to figure out the best and safest way to secure official tickets without paying crazy resale prices.
We heard that for Category A+ matches like this, the official club rule limits Socio members to a maximum of 2 tickets during the pre-sale. We are thinking about buying one single Socio Membership (€113/year), splitting the cost, and using that one account to buy both of our tickets during the 48-hour exclusive pre-sale window.
Before we pull the trigger, we'd love some advice from people who have done this recently:
- Is the membership even necessary? Do we actually stand a realistic chance of getting basic, standard tickets during the general public sale? Or will the member pre-sale completely wipe out the inventory (especially with the current lower stadium capacity due to renovations)?
- Buying 2 tickets on 1 Socio account: Is it easy to assign the second ticket and passport details to a non-member guest during the Socio checkout process?
- Seating together: How hard is it to find 2 seats next to each other (or at least in the same section) during the member pre-sale for El Clásico?
Would appreciate any tips, advice or personal experiences.
Before the start of World Cup Pedri predicted Cabo Verde as the Surprise team of the tournament
We need to talk about Julian Alvarez!!
It seems Barca is going all in for Alvarez but at the same time after watching his yesterday’s performance, although he is coming back from an injury but I am concerned. To add to this Alvarez’s last season was also not good at Atletico Madrid.
Though he was really good though for his last season in City and first season in Atletico Madrid.
Is he really the one who will answer our attack concerns? I am just afraid this signing shouldn’t turn up like Coutinho’s or Griezmann’s time at Barca.
Barca fans have you forgiven Figo yet? If no, why not?
It was a long time ago that he left Barcelona for Real Madrid, and the story behind it was more than he just wanted to screw Barca up and just went for the money. Many, unfortunately, have not read on the whole backstory.
Has time changed your opinion or do you still hate him? Some of you might not even have been born when this happened. Not only that but R9 also played for both Barca and Real, although he played for Inter between the two teams.
Am I the only one who thinks we should be looking at Sidny Lopes Cabral as our LB signing?
He's only 23, reportedly valued around €4-7m, and for someone in that price range his numbers are surprisingly good. Last season he put up 6 goals and 5 assists from left-back in Liga Portugal with an average rating of 7.16. That's elite attacking output for a full-back, especially considering he isn't playing for one of the league's biggest clubs. He also has champions league experience.
His world cup performance has been surprisingly good. Cape Verde were one of the biggest surprises of the tournament and he was one of their standout players. They held Spain to a 0-0 draw, with lamine as right winger.
I understand playing for Barça is a completely different level, and stats alone don't make a player Barça quality. But for the money we have to pay, he feels like a very low-risk, high-upside signing. He's two-footed, athletic, can play on either flank, and still has plenty of room to improve.
Has anyone here watched him regularly outside the World Cup?
