Julián Álvarez (26 years old) exploded today after not being able to fulfill his wish to speak with his coach, Diego Pablo Simeone, to ask him to help him leave Atlético de Madrid, as is his wish and as he already verbalized during the last World Cup. The Argentine forward maintains his plan to sign for FC Barcelona and today, after seeing that his coach was not there (he went to Ibiza for two days of celebration) and that Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, the club's CEO, was not there either, he notified those who were in the sports city: he told them that he was going to stand down and not to count on him.

As Mundo Deportivo learned, the Argentine forward believes that his coach has not had the courage to face his problem and talk to him, knowing that he had the intention of doing so to try to unblock his situation. In fact, he was not expecting his coach's departure to Ibiza when it was public and well known that he was showing up today and that he wanted to have a chat with him.

He is also 'burned' with Gil Marín, who is the other person who can help him solve his situation and who, coincidentally, was also on vacation today and could not be his interlocutor. As we already reported in Mundo Deportivo, the Argentine player wanted to face his situation through dialogue, but they did not let him.

The consequence of this is that Julián has already warned those who were present with him today that his patience had run out and that this was going to have consequences. "Don't count on me," was one of his clearest messages. The other, which is going to be planted.

This decision by Julián to stand down is expected to be put into practice starting next Wednesday, when Simeone is scheduled to return to direct the Madrid team's training sessions. Gerard Romero's team (and some other journalists) were set to travel to Madrid in order to cover for some potential news. But inn response to a statement in which he said that his team won't be finally travelling to Madrid next monday, he said this:

"The Julian saga stays the same, there hasn't been any retraction from any of the parties involved. The reason we are not finally travelling to Madrid next monday is because there have been threats towards some people in order to stop them from going there. Is there a reason to risk travelling there having heard of these stupid accusations? It's a stupid situation and I won't give them the attention they not deserve."

Alteri's ultras are pathetic and it's even more sad that their club still lets them into their stadium every match day!
