Negative terminal sparking when connecting to negative terminal with IBS (2018 BMW 5 series w/ 130k miles)
The sparks are kinda strong and left little burn marks on the terminal (photo 3). Thought I would post here before going through with anything. I bent the negative terminal on accident (photo 1) but I just pinched it together with pliers and here is where I ended up.

It is 2018 BMW 530e with 130k miles. I was away from home for 6 months and the battery just died over that time so I went and bought one to try and replace my old battery. Is this normal? Should I go through with it and just push the cable onto the terminal? Is there anything visibly wrong with my setup? It's a 95 aH AGM H8 battery. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
