We built a hard-shell pop-up camper. Tell us why we’re idiots (before we make too many)

Hey truck campers,

We’re a small team (design in Munich, manufacturing in China – yes, we know, paperwork is fun) getting ready to launch a hard-shell pop-up camper. First batch coming soon. Before we go all in, please roast our ideas. Politely, if possible. Or not, we can take it.

The thing we made:

Pop-top hard shell (not soft, because bears? Actually just durability)

Aluminum composite body

Lightweight – works on midsize & full-size trucks

Pre-plumbed for diesel heater (winter camping = less shivering)

Strong roof so you can stand up there and feel powerful

We need your wisdom:

Would you actually buy something like this?

What price makes you say “shut up and take my money”? We’re thinking 18k–22k (Us dollar) ex-works – fair? delusional?

And please, tell us what you really want:

Battery size?

Water tank capacity? enough for a shower or just sad sponge baths?

Interior style? cozy cabin? spaceship? bare bones?

Any other “must-have or deal-breaker” features

Thanks for keeping us from building something stupid. Or at least less stupid.
