PPF on XEV 9E Stealth Black in Gurugram — worth it or not?

Hello everyone,

I recently booked the Mahindra XEV 9E in Stealth Black and I’m based in Gurugram.

I’m confused about whether I should get PPF done or not. Since the car is black, I know it may show swirl marks, scratches, dust, and water spots more easily compared to lighter colours. At the same time, full-body PPF is quite expensive, so I’m trying to understand whether it is actually worth it.
My usage will mostly be city driving in Gurugram/NCR with occasional highway drives, and I want to keep the car looking good for the long term.

I’m considering these options:
- Full-body PPF
- Only high-impact areas PPF — front bumper, bonnet, ORVMs, door edges, door cups, A-pillars
- Ceramic coating instead of PPF
- No PPF, just regular washing/detailing

Questions:

Is full-body PPF worth it on a black car like the XEV 9E?

For Stealth Black, will PPF help significantly with swirl marks and minor scratches?

Given Gurugram/NCR dust, construction, parking scratches, and hard water issues, does PPF make more sense?

What should be a reasonable price range for good-quality PPF in Gurugram/Delhi NCR?

Any specific brands/installers in Gurugram/NCR to prefer or avoid?

For people who got PPF done, do you regret it or feel it was worth the money?

Would love to hear from owners who have used PPF on black cars, especially EVs or larger SUVs in NCR.
Thanks in advance!

XEV 9E insurance advice needed: 3+3 vs 1+3, and must-have add-ons?

Hello everyone,

I booked my Mahindra XEV 9E yesterday. My dealer is okay with me taking third-party insurance, so I am exploring options outside the dealership.

I am currently considering a 3+3 insurance plan from Tata AIG, and the quote is coming to around ₹1.27 lakh (excluding GST).

I wanted advice on a few things:

  1. What are the must-have add-ons for an EV like the XEV 9E?
    • Zero depreciation
    • Return to invoice
    • Consumables
    • Roadside assistance
    • Engine/motor protector
    • Battery protection
    • Key replacement
    • Tyre/rim protection
    • Anything else specific to EVs?
  2. Is battery protection usually included by default in EV insurance, or should I explicitly add it?
  3. The dealer is suggesting that because EV technology is advancing quickly, it may be better to go with a 1+3 plan instead of 3+3. Their logic is that after 1 year, better EV-specific insurance products/add-ons may be available.

Does this make sense, or is it better to lock in a 3+3 comprehensive plan now?

Would really appreciate suggestions from people who have recently bought EV insurance, especially for Mahindra EVs / BYD / Tata EVs / MG EVs.

Thanks in advance!
