Can I get tips on what to expect as a first time apprentice working at a refinery? What type of work I could be doing, safety tips, hours, do’s and don’t.

Back in 2021 I end having misfire issues. I walnut blasted the intake, new fuel injectors, pvc, cleaned intake manifold, and coil and spark still misfire slightly and idle fair ok. I took to shop because it began surging at start up end replace both o2 sensor. Ran some what the same took it to the dealer to get diagnosed in 20 min they came up with the fuel pump was bad which I replaced because I was gonna pay 1200. Fast forward 2024 one day I was rushing to work and boom car wouldn’t want to pass 20 mph. Car still turn on super bad misfire and it does move. When car in park it smooth out as in it does misfire but not loud or obnoxious. Car feel under power. I started taking the head off I notice the coolant reservoir had oil in it. Head gasket has wear and broken spot like coolant was getting through. But I’m kinda hit a road block. Before I buy to repair is there anything else something can tell me to look at before saying it was just a head gasket. Thank you
