EV Chargers

Anyone else notice that the EV chargers in the Rose St parking garage were removed? Also, the chargers at the park are powered off? I wouldn’t mind as much if they weren’t free anymore, but removing them/rendering them useless is questionable.

Finally breaking free.

Well guys, I finally landed in a role outside of Pharmacy Tech. After almost 10 years in the industry and the last two years working at the most toxic, WFH, pharmacy job ever. I’ve been hired on as an EHMR Analyst to help roll out Epic for a local healthcare clinic and to train providers.

I started working on a CIS degree in 2022 to transition from pharmacy into IT. My education never seemed to materialize into anything substantial that provided a gateway for a career change.

Oddly enough, my CIS education was a secondary selling point to my healthcare experience and utilization of pharmacy systems for driving patient care. The interview was challenging because it required me to review my pharmacy experience and reframe it to pertain to healthcare analytics, as opposed to more traditional pharmacy tech roles.

Don’t be afraid to branch out if you aren’t feeling called to tech work or eventually want to become an RPH, and don’t sell yourself short on skills and experience acquired from working in pharmacy, even if most days it feels like you’re “just” typing, adjudicating, dispensing, ordering, vaccinating, or working patient release.

The pay increase in my new position is substantial as well, my base pay is now more than I had as a lead tech or even in a hospital pharmacy doing IVs.

Cheers!
