do I mail it? clip it? it’s easy to nudge it back up but it always falls back down. someone is trying to charge me $50 to fix so I figure it must be easy.
I have a rental property where moisture is accumulating in the bathroom. current tenants may forget to turn the bathroom fans on and keep them on for a little bit even after a shower is done.
eventually, I will move into one of the units. what’s my best option to improve the unit to limit additional water damage but also have something I can use later?
- I’m not a fan of fan timer switches and hat you manually have to press
I was thinking of either:
- combining the fan and light switch (or electrician needed)
- adding a wall humidity sensor
- adding a fan to with humidity sensor
- I researched shower sensors but wasn’t sure about that
what’s the best option? i know there are smart home options. but doesnt make a ton of sense to install those since id be relying on tenants to verify if things work.
any other options I have?
I am a first time homebuyer and total n00b at home security.
I want to basically get:
3-4 exterior cameras for the dwelling. I was thinking I could get away with 3 if they have enough range to see around the back and corners of the property
2 more cameras for a common laundry room and for a common area hallway.
7 window sensors
2 co2 detectors
1 water sensor shut off.
4 door sensors
im in the surety flow and literally stuck on what panel to get. I need to secure 2 units in a multi family. And fogured there could be a shared panel? maybe? that works for two separately apartments.
how would you update this floor plan to add a bedroom?
how would you alter it to add another bedroom AND a bathroom? at least a half bath. The utilities on the other side of the existing bath are washer dryers in place that don’t stack.
there's a deteriorated patch near the front of the roof. and some granules exposed in parts of the roof. no active leaking, attic doesn't have mold. does this seem like a patch or a full replacement? roof is 15 years old.
