Reverse camera black out

Just bought my first Audi!
It came with this aftermarket screen that enables car play amongst other things. However when I put it in reverse the screen goes black and I cannot see the backup camera. Is this normal for the after market screens? If not, how would you recommend correcting it?

Ps. The screen is slightly crooked and lower on one side. Doesn’t affect performance but drives me crazy to look at. recommendations?
