Is it hypothyroidism?
Hi guys,
I’ve been gaining weight over the past year. It’s not too much. I gained 10 kgs in just over a year. I mostly eat healthy and exercise/walk/swim so I’d say I’ve somewhat of an active lifestyle.
When I noticed weight increasing, I cut down a lot of unhealthy eating and started exercising more but instead of reducing I gained another 5 kgs!!
Now I got my blood tests done and TSH is 3.42. I’ve read posts that it differs throughout the day and mine was done at 7 pm. The report says it’s normal. However, other tests shows iron and vitamin D deficiency.
I have hypothyroidism in my family. I’ve always maintained my weight so increasing all of a sudden doesn’t make sense to me. For a long time, I believed it was my eating habits but improving those habits don’t work either.
There were other things like Ferritin was 23. Vitamin b12 was 180.
What do you all suggest? My mental health has been a mess. My periods are heavier than usual. I feel extremely tired at the end of the day and after workout. I have sleeping issues. My skin is so dry. My face has so much puffiness and I bloat so much after eating. B
