CIA part 1- Exam

hi everyone,I am writing CIA Part 1 tomorrow.

Those who have written the exam recently, could you please share:

Topics that appeared difficult or tricky in your exam

Areas that had more questions than expected

Any concepts you wish you had revised more before the exam

It would be really helpful for my last-day revision. Thanks in advance!

CIA part 1

IIA Mock Exam 1: 71%, Mock Exam 2: 72%. Gleim Mock Exam 1: 83%, Mock Exam 2: 87%. I am taking the exam this Saturday. I found the IIA mock exams more difficult than Gleim. Based on my previous attempt, I felt the actual exam was easier than the IIA mock exams. This is my second attempt at CIA Part 1. In my first attempt, I scored 574/750. My biggest mistake was not practicing mock tests. This time, I have completed multiple mock exams, and I am feeling much more confident."

CIA results

few weeks back, CIA exam results were only declared on Fridays, but nowadays they seem to be coming out on either Mondays or Fridays. Has anyone else noticed this?"

CIA- Part 1 Gleim test bank query

Hi everyone,

For example, in Chapter 5 there are 237 questions, but the maximum number of questions that can be attempted in a single test is 125. How can I attempt the remaining 112 questions?"

"What option should I select in Gleim to attempt the remaining 112 questions and avoid repeated questions?

Cooling period - EY

Hi everyone,

I interviewed with EY GDS for a SOX - Internal Audit role in February 2026 and was not selected. Since then, I have applied for more than four positions, but each application has been rejected.

Could anyone please clarify whether the cooling-off period after an unsuccessful interview is 3 months or 6 months before becoming eligible for another interview?

Thanks in advance.

Facing issue while applying job in Deloitte career portal

Facing an issue while applying through the Deloitte portal. Although my account was already created earlier, the system is prompting me to create/set up the account again. Has anyone experienced a similar issue or found a solution? Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hi everyone,

I recently failed the CIA Part 1 exam, missing the passing score by just 26 points.wrote exam on April 25

I now have to wait 23 days before I can retake it.

I’m planning to study for Part 2 over the next 13 days, followed by a 10-day revision for Part 1. My plan is to retake Part 1 on May 27 and then attempt Part 2 on June 2.

Do you think this is a good strategy, or should I focus only on Part 1 for now?

Recently, I attended interviews with two manufacturing companies. I performed well in the final rounds, but I was not shortlisted due to comparisons with other candidates who had more relevant experience. This is the challenge I’m facing while trying to switch from external audit to internal audit/SOX roles—it’s quite frustrating.

But I will never give up dream to grow my career in sox audit/ Internal audit

My dream companies: Sanofi, Bristol Myers squibb,Mattel, Amgen, IFF,Ashland, Celanese

Hello friends, I am from India.I have 3 years of experience in Big 4 firms in the statutory audit domain. I have been trying very hard for the past 45 days to switch to internal audit/SOX audit roles, but I have not been able to secure a job and am feeling demotivated. i left my job without having any offer.

I am focusing on completing the CIA as soon as possible so that I can improve my chances of getting opportunities.

If anyone switched from External audit to internal audit please give some suggestions to secure a job in internal audit domain.
