Interviewers and their subjects repeating each other?

I did a search of the subreddit and didn’t find anything similar. I’ve been watching Dateline from the beginning but now I tend to binge several at once. Does anyone notice how the interviewer and their subject repeat each other? When you watch several episodes at once, it’s so obvious. I have a little experience with news shows - my family was on a similar show many years ago, and the main reporter did not interview us personally. They did a video interview of a couple people but it looked like he was a big part of the reporting. So now I’m thinking repeating these answers may be added in after a producer does the actual interview and then they have the reporter just repeat the answer to look like they are there. Or maybe my neurodivergence just notices way too many patterns 😂 Btw, I think story producers are fantastic and do such a hard job that takes several months to build a story and don’t get enough credit.

Keep Going

I’m now about 3.5 months post LTKR. Pain-wise the first couple of weeks, it wasn’t as bad as I feared, but I’ve had some really painful injuries and surgeries previously. I started PT officially 17 days post surgery (was given home PT instructions and tried to do those). At first when I went to PT, my leg felt absolutely dead for at least the next day, so I got into a mindset of PT day, rest day, and would not do any exercises on rest day. I have autoimmune diseases, and resting is often the only way to get through a flare. Then I got an infection and had to stop PT for two weeks - I couldn’t even do PT at home. So I was very discouraged that I’d lose any progress I made. I was so happy to get back to PT, but they were concerned about the lack of progress. Then with scheduling issues, I went without PT for 11 days. I was determined to make progress, so I did my heel slides all day long. Did leg lifts and dead lifts, clams, bridges, etc. First day back, everyone was amazed. I made even more progress at the second visit back. I’m taking another week off because I’m traveling, but I will be bringing my PT tools and will definitely keep at it. I also was amazed to see how much progress I’ve made in so many ways. All this to say, it can be really hard at the beginning of PT, and we might want to baby ourselves on off days. But the more you get through those exercises, the faster you will recover. I’m keeping all of this in mind as I get my RTKR in August.

Anyone else have widespread back pain?

I have had a deep ache all over back pain for at least 7 years. It’s not fibro pain, it is DEEP. I’m still being evaluated (kind of reluctantly) by a spine doctor, but when I looked it up today, I saw lupus might be the cause. Anyone else, and have you received any treatment that brought relief?

Feeling down and discouraged

8 weeks PO. Everything seemed to be going well, but a bit slowly. The pain was only bad a few nights. But the top one inch of my incision just will not heal. I’ve been seeing my surgeon every 1-2 weeks after the initial post op. This week, he put me on my second topical ointment and back on an oral antibiotic. This week, he also shut down all PT (at least two weeks) until the wound fully heals. It’s just hard for me to work towards a goal and then have to stop, and I’m worried that all of the hard won progress I’ve made will be lost during this time. I have a lot of other conditions that makes me a high risk case, so I’m also worried my surgeon might not go forward with my right knee surgery in August. Also, I just want to get back to my minimally active life - walking my dogs, sitting at my desk for work and for crafts, feeding the birds. It’s just super frustrating.
