Did I fuck up or improve my rifle?

I was very torn about painting my Bushmaster. The whole rattle can debate that it destroys the value and it's a lengthy process to remove the paint job. I also think a plain black rifle is badass but I got over zealous and wanted to do a Gordon at home project. I even painted my Aimpoint Pro which hurt a bit. I put tape on the Bushmaster logo and Windham, ME part to preserve it. I also threaded on my linear comp and painted it for a dollar general OTB suppressor look. Painted my cheap eBay light too. This isn't my first rattle job but not my best. Honestly just looking for some insight if I should keep it as is, strip the paint, or try another camo pattern. I think once I wear down the paint it will look better.

COPE MRE Updated Build. It's free real estate.

I'm glad I found this site called Ohhunt. They have a free float MK12 style handguard with a FSP cutout. It shipped from the US and is perfect if you don't have the cash or can't source a KAC MRE rail. Installing it is like putting a ship into a glass bottle. Took me about a hour to figure out as I am a basement gunsmith. It's very secure with these locking pins and three set screws that go into the collar barrel nut part. It's way lighter than a drop in extended quad rail and looks great on my 14.5 P&W upper I put together last night. I based it off this reference image I found from Google and a tribute to the early 2000s Delta operators. A poverty tribute. Only thing I want to do is get a CAR15 stock with butt pad and a fresh unpainted Redimag for it.

Chuy Quintanilla Clone

Saw this posted awhile ago on here about a Mexican music artist, (cartel related I think? IDK I'm basically white) that would pose with badass retro carry handle ARs with cool attachments. Like the Bushnell Holosight and Surefire M500 handguard. A close friend helped me source the Surefire M500 for a reasonable price. I put all of the parts on my 16 inch Bushmaster because I can't tell what rifle is in the pic except that it's a carbine either 14.5 or 16 inch with A2 rear sights. I never do clones because I can rarely afford the parts but this was a fun one. Also awesome to shoot and amazed with the holosight.

COPE MRE Tribute. If you squint hard enough you can see it.

Basic 16 inch PSA with Bushnell Holosight, replica PEQ2, CAA light foregrip, Monstrum extended quad rail, and CAR15 stock. Just a fun mess around with parts build seeing what I can throw together.

I just like how my rifle looked last weekend.

It was rainy last weekend and when I stay inside I mess with different parts. I put on my Aimpoint Pro on a Griffin low carry handle mount and my PEQ2 replica. Really like how it looks. Not sure if I should add pic rail to the bottom for a broomstick grip or not. Maybe it's best just to leave things be and not give in to RGS (restless gun syndrome).

Gryphon PLS 500 Laser on my Point and Click CAR15

I got a PLS500 laser off eBay in the box but the batteries were left in and corroded. I cleaned off the corrosion and used pliers to pull out the old batteries. I got it to turn on with the pressure pad and there's a faint laser but I think the bulb needs replaced. I did some quick research and saw it was used in a lot of old action movies like Predator 2 and Terminator.

1987 Tasco Propoint w/ box

I recently found a great deal on eBay and got this Propoint new in the box. I don't think it was ever used. I had to open the battery and Mercury battery pad. The color reminds me of the older Aimpoint 2000s but way more affordable. The sight turns on and has different levels of brightness. Also comes with an extension tube and sunshade thing. Feels great and I love the art on the box and manual. Feels like a blast from the past and way more exciting buying and opening this then any modern dot. Well maybe except for an EOTECH or something. But I don't have one haha.

I got a working Tasco propoint that has the angled battery holder like the Aimpoint 2000. I'm slowly building a collection of older optics like this one, Bushnell Holosight, and Aimpoint Electronic MKIII. The old tube designs for the sights look badass and retro futuristic. Especially this one looking like shiny robot chrome. I guess the tube designs is either from technology of the time or modeling after hunting scopes.

Got a somogear PEQ2, M600 style light with IR cover, weird pressure pad foregrip from Amazon, and a free chem light from a night shoot I threw on as decoration. Waiting on a M951 replica light to show up in the mail. The PEQ2 replica surpassed my expectations. The visible laser is powerful and the addition of a light is nice too.
