quais são as coisas que indicam se um professor vai te achar mais inteligente ou mais burro se você perguntar algo a ele?
firstly, english is not my native language so i apologise in advance if anything is hard to understand.
i have always measured my personal value entirely by how intelligent i am, so i was very young when i decided that no matter how curious i am, i would never take any iq test. i feel like one's own iq is something that was never meant for humans to know, the same way as the date of our deaths and what happens in the afterlife.
it changed when i had to do a neuropsychological assessment, for autism and adhd (my psychologist is also considering giftedness, and at the same time i don't believe in this possibility, i am also putting all my hopes on it) and an iq test is a required part.
because i want to be prepared, i took 2 IDRlabs iq tests, in one of them i got 112 and the other 114, so let's assume my iq is 113. i know online tests are not always accurate, but based on my experiences and trying my best to not let neither my insecurities nor my dreams affect how i view reality, i wouldn't think my actual iq is far from that.
i am afraid i won't be able to find joy and meaning in my life anymore if my actual iq is below 120. knowing myself, i will be curious about something and a few seconds later i will think "it's not worth it trying to learn x, my iq is only 113 so i won't be able to do much" then i will hear about a book or a film and be like "it's not worth it reading this since i probably won't understand it completely" or i will see an activity that needs intellect to do (almost anything in the world 🥰) and rapidly remember that it's not worth it because i have no chance excelling in this no matter how much effort i put on it.
also, none of the people who made big discoveries or inventions had an average iq, that makes me think it's impossible to have average iq and have this type of impact in the world. even richard feynman who is known for being one of the greatest scientists even though he had a "lower" iq, had 125 which is still quite above the mean interval (85-115).
am i misguided? will i be able to do the things i want to even with an average iq?
i want to know is if there is anything i can do to look smarter. being intelligent is as important to me as being pretty is to most people on this sub, but no one besides my girlfriend and my mother has ever told me i look intelligent, but i have seen many people say this about people like meryl streep, natalie portman, emma watson etc.
i want to know what changes i can do on my appearance that will make people think i must be intelligent just by looking at me
i know my cheeks are big and this is associated with naivety, i wanna have a buccal fat removal in the future but i don't have money for it yet. is there something i can do besides this?
sorry if i have bad english, it's my second language :)
