Story time- crazy therapist called me a whore

So back in February, I decided to start going to therapy since my friendship of 6 years had ended. I was DEVASTATED since this girl had became part of my daily life and I needed to speak to a professional, I found this older woman who happened to be both a psychologist and psychiatrist and decided to book with her.

On the first meeting, our 1 hour long appointment became 2 hours long. This woman asked me about everything and even doubted the content of the thesis I’m writing (for context, I’m an undergraduate psychology student) and she thought that my thesis had no content and “she could give me advice on how to work on it since she had a phd.” Mind you, no questions regarding my socializing problems an hour into this fuckass conversation. After everything, what topped it off is when she asked me if I was in a relationship. At that time, I was, and I told her about him and one of her first questions was if I had slept with him to which I was honest and said I did. This woman started saying that I “shouldn’t give it out so easily” and that I “knew better” also starting talking about how “hormones are the worst thing that can happen to a woman” and also asked me HOW many times 😭. At that point, I was extremely upset because she also kept bringing up religion and how she understood I was agnostic but I should become spiritually involved. I ended up telling her I felt very comfortable in my sexuality and that I was going to have sex if I felt like it, I also told her I repeatedly mentioned to her I’m not religious and she kept bringing it up and it was making me uncomfortable. She apologized and said that she didn’t mean to offend me and started talking about some other bs I didn’t listen to because I was ready to leave that call.

Has anyone else had a crazy experience with a therapist? I just kept thinking it was anyone else it could have ended up very horrible.

3 failed methods- bc recommendation HELP!!

Hey guys I’m (22F), overweight and struggles with high maintenance methods. I have been on the opill (made me bleed daily, gave me acne AFTER being on accutane), copper iud (extreme periods, got embedded in my uterus and stopped working) and mirena (1.5 cm off, had to be taken out).

I am currently using annovera but to be completely honest (TMI warning) I have unprotected sex often, my partner struggles to use a condom (we’ve tried several times and haven’t been extremely successful + I also hate them 😭, don’t worry we both for tested before lol) and we don’t always use the withdraw method. I really wanted the mirena to work and I wonder if it’s the place where I got it from, so far annovera has been great but I don’t like the 93% of protection and the lack of studies on people with higher BMIs.

Has anyone experienced this many issues with BC? Has anything else with more protection worked for you? I am SO CLOSE to take my uterus off lmaooooo (jk but it feels like it)

ANY ADVICE WOULD BE AWESOME

PSA: I don’t mind bleeding more. I only stopped the opill bc of the acne but having weird cycles makes it harder for me track it and I end up thinking it’s implantation bleeding 😭, only reason I got the copper IUD checked was because I was bleeding way more than normal (obv, it was embedded lmao)

THANK YOUUUU!!

Need advice- annovera new user

I have tried different contraception methods: opill (made me bleed and couldn’t take at the same time every day), copper iud (got embedded in my uterus and stopped working), mirena iud (was 1.5 cm misplaced, therefore would lose effectivess/ had to take it out today). I feel defeated, this is very hard for me because I’m just so bad at taking things at the same time and picking up meds. I need something low- maintenance so I picked annovera.

I unfortunately like to have “raw sex” (tmi I’m sorry) with my partner. So I want to use this method correctly, my obgyn said I could either use it for a whole year without taking it out or use it for 21 days and take it out for 7 days. She recommended I did the second method since it’s my natural “pregnancy test” but I already do those once a week anyway. I just want to do what’s best for me, I haven’t picked it up yet since I’m guessing they have to order it.

My question is: what’s your experience on this? And if it didn’t work, what did you use instead? I refuse to go on nexplanon and would rather use condoms lmao. I was also adviced to not have any unprotected sex for a month which I will. Also, am I going to be protected during my period if I decide to take it out? I feel so rushed and like I’m running out of options.

Thank you all in advance ❤️
