Solo dev here, spent 3 months building features nobody asked for before I actually talked to a user
Finally messaged the 4 people who signed up and just asked what they actually needed. Turns out none of them cared about half the stuff I'd built, they wanted one specific thing I hadn't even started on.
Building in a vacuum is so much easier than talking to actual humans, which is exactly why I avoided it for way too long. Anyone else waste real time on this before finally just asking?
