How long did recovery take you?

I am two months out from my bilateral pulmonary embolism diagnosis. While it’s gotten a lot better, I still am having shortness of breath at times I wouldn’t have before this happened. It hasn’t been crazy bad, but enough to notice. I’m also just so tired all the time still. Everything I’m reading online says I should be basically fully recovered at this point — I have seen my doctor and he’s sent me for bloodwork, but is there anyone else that had a longer recovery period? Should I be worried there’s permanent damage at this point? To my knowledge, it wasn’t super bad, I was put on blood thinners and discharged from the hospital same day.

Drinking with PE

Hello! I’m just looking for input — on August 4th I spent the day in emergency and found out I have bilateral pulmonary emboli. I got discharged same day and put on apixaban for 3 months — I was on 10mg twice daily for 2 weeks and now on 5mg twice daily for the remaining 2.5 months.

My shortness of breath has definitely gotten a bit better, but I realize that I’m still fairly early on.

I am not really a drinker, however my 30th birthday is on Aug 29, and we were planning on having a gathering. I’m just wondering if others who went through this think about drinking some alcohol? Obviously I won’t get out of control, but enough to be socially buzzed would be less of a downer haha

I asked my doctor and she said not to drink ever. Which I understand, but it’s sort of a special occasion.

Also wondering when people started to notice feeling significantly better. I’m still out of breath after not much activity.

Thank you!!

Vehicle Towing

I’m looking for a company or person that may tow vehicles 100km? The vehicles are also parked in a field with tall grass and haven’t moved in 7 years, so I assume that may add a layer beyond a regular tow truck company.

Thank you!!
