This is my first time building a jarrarium or terrarium of any kind. For the smaller one im looking into mostly plants with some springtails. Think maybe i can grab dirt and sand from outdoors? (I live by a decently sized lake in florida.

For the taller jar, this one id like to set up more like an aquarium. Mainly cherry shrimp and maybe some type of snail to help with breaking down dead plant matter.

I was looking into getting some small pieces of driftwood. For both.

Any suggestions welcome. Getting a grow light for both and maybe a different lid for the smaller one that will let light through. I want to make these guys as low maintenance as possible.
