What are the buttons for in this Norton McNaughton sweater collar?
I am very much a layman to the vintage clothing world, and this sweater was just gifted by my aunt in a large bag of clothing. From what I can find online, it looks like this could be from the 90s? Broad guess there, I apologize!
Does anyone know what purpose these buttons around the inner collar serve? There are no other buttons on the sweater for these to be sewn in replacements for, and they are evenly spread around the front and back of the inner collar. Not visible when the sweater is worn.
