I need to talk about Wanting by Minkel23 for a minute because this fic has lived rent-free in my head for years. I spent years CONVINCEDTHIS FIC WAS CALLED STARFISH....NOPE.... I just finished re reading AFTER A LONG SEARCH and ahhhh. One of my favorites!!!

Yes, the romance is beautiful.

Yes, the Texas restaurant wedding scene still makes me emotional.

..........

But can we talk about Hux?

Because somehow this fic gave me one of my favorite versions of Hux ever written.

He's sarcastic. He's dramatic. He's emotionally constipated. He insults people as a love language.

And yet beneath all of that is a man who quietly shows up when it matters. Like telling Leia to fuccck off yessssssssss.....

What I love most is that he never stops being Hux. He doesn't suddenly become soft and sentimental. He cries, insults her makeup, calls her Johnson, complains about Ben's beard, and somehow manages to be one of the most loving people in the story

We all need a hux like this
