First "long" ride on my 450MT

Fresh from installing a 15T sprocket, I rode my new 450MT for 200 km (125 mi):

Off road (10km - 6mi on gravel);

Twisty mountain roads (40km - 25mi);

Urban roads (~150km)

The gearing feels way better now and the cruising speed (comfortable, ideal speed and rpms) went from 100kph (60mph) to 110kph (68mph) at 6'000 rpm (I'm still breaking in). The acceleration has slightly worsened but not dramatically and even sharp hairpins in 1st gear weren't an issue. I'm happy with the results since I'm interested in mid-long journeys, not short bursts of torque.

Brakes and suspensions were good in every situation: the front brake behaved well for a single-disc setup (low weight benefits) and the rear one was very progressive in the twisty sections while the fork and the rear shock setup are close to perfection for my weight and riding style.

This bike apparently runs on hopes and thin air since my average fuel consumption from the first few meters is 4L/100km (25km/L) or 58,8 mpg (US) or 70.6mpg (UK): not bad at all!

With that being said, I'm still waiting for the taller seat and have also ordered a higher windshield since wind is still a bit annoying, even with earplugs.

Up to now I installed:

- crash bars

- navsat holder and carplay/android auto screen (best €30 - $34 I've spent)

- 15T front sprocket

- adjustable plate holder

To be shipped:

- soft luggage setup (bags + frames)

- taller windshield

- rally seat

- Akrapovic slip-on exhaust (for free because of a CFMoto promo)

Fresh out from the dealership - new CFMoto 450MT (nebula black)

It's been 12 years since the last time I had a bike (thankfully I've got a good muscle memory) and I think I couldn't buy a better bike for this price.

I'm 190cm tall (6'2) and yeah, I already ordered the rally seat because I feel a little crumpled up (I plan to travel a lot with this bike so I'm trying to improve the riding comfort) and a taller windscreen.

Wish you all a lot of kms (or miles) on your CFs, see you around ✌️✌️

Rally shooting - in need for an upgrade/suggestions!

Hello everyone!

Last weekend I went to a local rally competition and here are some of the best shots.

I used my A7 III and the Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS that went with it. With that said, I think I need to upgrade this lens because I struggled A LOT, even with a lot of light, but don't want to rush so I'm here asking for help.

It was my first time panning so I definitely have a lot of room for improvement. What are your suggestions in terms of AF and exposure settings? I'm more "skilled" with bird photography but never shot fast cars so feel free to leave any tip/suggestion.
