My sweet Ruby Tuesday had a seizure in the middle of the night last night. As an epileptic, it kills me.
When we brought her home as a pup, we knew that it was a possibility because shelties are more prone to epilepsy. As my son said, if she does end up with it, who better to take care of her?
I knew immediately what it was when I saw it. And I intimately knew the terror and fear in her eyes. It breaks my heart to know she’s going through that.
I guess I’m just posting because I know that there are many of you out there with epileptic shelties who understand the pain of watching. And probably many, many more of you who know the pain of watching your dog go through health problems.
Picture is of Ruby, hanging out with me during an ambulatory EEG.
