Stop cat from yelling to be in a room he’s not allowed in

Title probably a bit vague, but essentially my cat is no longer allowed to be in my parents room at night, problem is that’s his favourite spot and every night he yells and screams at/under their door in an effort to get in. Even while I’m sitting in the living room with him he still meows to go back in there. My parents made it clear to me that he under no circumstance is allowed in their room at night, and they gave me the ultimatum of stopping him yelling or they are gonna put him up for adoption. I’ve seen the method where you just let them yell until they realise that it’s not going to happen, but my parents refuse to try that and told me that I need to fix it. So please if there’s any methods or advice that people have to help out would greatly appreciate it.

Sorry if this came off as a little ranty and long I haven’t slept well in a while as a result of being up until 2-3am for a while doing what I can to keep him entertained
