Hi all. I'm a member of an organization (think VFW) that would like to occasionally do karaoke nights. We've hired KJ's in the past, but feel that the cost isn't worth it for how many people will be there (15-25) and I'm wondering if we could do something with the equipment we have and what else we'd need. We want to use Karafun, at least for our first time doing this ourselves.

We have:

Mackie ProFX12v2 mixer
2 Mackie Thump15 1000w speakers (connected to mixer)
2 Technical Pro 3000w speakers (not connected to mixer)
Wireless mic
An older laptop (no idea of specs)

Am I missing something obvious, because I feel like we just need to connect the laptop to the mixer, then make sound adjustments, but that seems to easy. What am I missing?
