i got it wrong initially because it had A. taught me previously that it’s プレート and B. based on how other kitchen ware is practically how it is in english.

and i sanity checked both google and apple translate to see if maybe there is another way to say it but nope it’s just made up

Edit: as multiple users have pointed out お皿 isn’t made up i was just too hasty to make a post and hadn’t fully researched
