Bug with corporation material: Quality = NaN

After building up an integrated corporation, I found that it had stalled around the 30 b/s mark only to find that half of the materials had quality NaN.

The affected materials were all materials that another division produced and exported.

Unfortunately, I can not clean stock because I can not sell the material and dumping is not possible in this game, either. (Plus, savegame editing feels too cumbersome at this point.)

Did anyone else have that bug and were you able to solve it?

Gaining luck beyond the initial max

I remember reading some old post from ravencrowking (link: https://ravencrowking.blogspot.com/2013/03/some-house-rules-about-luck-in-dungeon.html ) where they outlined that luck increases with rewards from the adventure.

Now to me, that makes sense, because it seems luck is always subtracted as permanent (except for thiefs and halflings) and the gain thus also has to be permanent.

But I also know that there is a reading of the rules which said that luck can never be raised above the initial starting luck. Maybe I am blind, but where is that reading?

And how are you guys dealing with that? Do you allow raising luck beyond the starting minimum?

A halfling who does not burn any luck or regains it quickly enough will soon have a ton of it, so I tend ot follow ravencrowking approach (even though they seem to not use it anymore). After all, if you fare well and do good (according to your alignment), your luck should increase, as you are more favoured by the gods / your side.

Coming back to Bitburner after a while ... corporations are different, right?

Played it two or three years ago, came back and started BN3 for a bit of relaxed number galore, but lo and behold, it seems the old Tobacco-marketing-pump into sextillions does not work anymore, does it?

So what's the corporate game now?

Slowly building up research and quality while building an integrated company where you actually exchange goods between divisions, or am I missing something?

Design and marketing investment does not really affect the product like it used to, right? And why are all products despite different effective quality levels priced exactly the same and there is very little leeway in selling prices (like 5% or so).

It feels very painful and slow, nearly to the point that the stock market node feels quicker.

And I can not even start to imagine how I would automate this decision process ...

Any pointers what you guys noted is important in v3 would be very appreciated!

General rules questions for more experienced judges

Coming back to DCC (best system ever!), I had a few questions during today's session and I would like you guys to give me your opinion / the official ruling:

  1. What penalty is there for a blinded attacker? Can they attack at all? (I did a -2d penalty for swinging wildly.)
  2. Can you attack while being prone? (The attack modifiers don't have an entry for this and the rule book mentions you lose a turn standing up, so I assume you can not attack while being prone.)
  3. Clerics get their new spells on level-up, correct?
  4. Can a halfling give luck to others even on a rolling-over check? If so, and the rules seem to indicate that it is allowed, then a good halfling is basically the most important party member you can have?

GMing question, People of the Pit: How did you do the finale?

>!The finale in People of the Pit, while being generally a good one, suffers from making the rest of the level 4 useless. Due to the ritual happening a mere 20 meters away from where the players leave the elevator and the good visibility, the players will see the ritual right away and have to act right away. So no looting other caves or huts on the way.!<

How did my fellow GM's solve this, without changing the scene too much?

>!I thought about putting it on a raised plateau so that you won't have a view on it unless you climb the slope up to it.!<

Do you guys play the perception major action like it's written or as a minor action?

Title says it.

In terms of action economy, spending a major action to observe / perceive is just too expensive in combat, so no one will ever use it.

Also, it is intended as remedy for your opponent going invisible, but spending a major action on being able to see them but this effect only being active until your next turn means that you can see them, but then likely don't have an action to act on it.

So I am leaning on making this a minor action. WDYT / how do you handle this at your table?
