Any one tried using real Cicadas as a fly?
is this a good idea or will it not work as well as I think?

caught after 9pm when they start top water feeding crazily and they start smacking water around, so they're easy to spot. used a purple wooly bugger and a zebra kebari fly.
Some Smallies, White Bass, and Catfish (not pictured) were caught on the Tenkara rod at Truman Lake in Missouri. Used 4X tippet and nylon line on the Tenkara USA Hane.
new rod from Japan came in the mail today so I took it out to the local fishing pond. lots of smaller-ish bluegill, crappie, and bass fish caught but it casts super smooth in my opinion. the sensitivity is wonderful. i can feel alllll the bites.
recently got my first rod and some flys at my local fly fishing shop. I needed something to take with me on a backpacking trip in Wyoming later this year to an alpine lake near Sawtooth Mountain and Tenkara caught my eye. I can't go back to fishing a rod and reel after this, it's just too much fun and rewarding!
this suppressor is insanely cool and goes well with the sft pro, although a lighter recoil spring is needed to avoid stovepiping.
