Ok, I'm reading a decent amount of comments that show misunderstanding of strategies. Pull up your chairs, and pay attention. Let's analyze.
The clues are in the names.
This is the main "branch" of Vanguard. This is the PASSIVE INDEXER that holds DVLT in ETFs. Those of you saying that "Vanguard's algorithms auto-buy stocks without research" or anything similar are referring to THIS fund.
Now for the fun part...
These three recent filings we received are from Vanguard SUBSIDIARIES. All three of them are ACTIVE asset managers.
Vanguard Capital Management was announced as a new fund in June of last year. It is actively managed by Vanguard's portfolio managers for a variety of clientele.
Vanguard Fiduciary Trust is yet another actively managed fund for retirees. A wealth management system that creates customized personal portfolios for their clients.
Vanguard Global Advisers provides investment advisory services for retail clients, offering portfolio management, asset allocation, and retirement planning.
So, while they are not the active growth funds that we want to see investing, such as Lord Abbett, Invesco, Royce, or T. Rowe Price, they are NOT passive indexers that buy with an algorithm because DVLT is part of any sector/group/index. Someone that manages these funds saw something in DVLT and decided it was worth the money.
Keep your eyes peeled for more 13F/D/Gs in the upcoming days, as the Q1 deadline is Friday, May 15. Maintain vigilance, and as always...

Back to the beginning, with a whole new deck of cards...
Happy Anniversary! Who was here for the 12 Days of Christmas? For the merch giveaway? For the New Year rally? Who sold @ $4?
Whoever wanted to buy at yesterday's price got another chance today, yes? Not sure how long we'll stay here, but I seriously doubt we'll return once we leave.
This was one of the hardest things I've ever had to watch, but it is far from the end of all things. Extend your patience, friends, and maintain vigilance.

Green day, low volume, 8-K filed, higher high incoming? Why is there so much criticism over this deal? Maintain vigilance.
The Night Watch stands, forever.
There has been talk of where Scilex is going to get this money from. Talk of them selling the rest of their DVLT shares to fund the deal. They don't have enough left. The most likely situation is going to be for them to utilize the $500 million S-3 and dilute THEMSELVES to provide the cash. Thoughts? Maintain vigilance.
