Can’t wait to go back here again this season! I figured I’d share some of my favorite cutties from this area last season, in preparation for my return trip.

Saw Trey’s Italian doppleganger on the plane leaving from Milan 😬😅

Decided to take the plunge on the new Fishman BC4 5.10UL Power Gripz Edition. Preordered from Digitaka and it arrived earlier than promised. Its not at all a dedicated trout rod but it clearly punches well above its size as it was ridiculously easy to pull 16-18” trout out of the current.

Was able to cast a 4ish gram lure with it all day without any issues, which surprised me a bit.

Pretty epic all around travel rod, and they make it in many different weights, apparently people are catching trophies with heavier versions of this rod in the Jungle too 😅

Really different than my trout specific Casket and Anglo rods but I like it nonetheless. my only negative feedback is the awkwardly wide butt section, but it’s fishman thing for sure. It’s maybe closer to a power BFS setup.
