First shows! Savannah, July 14-15

Hey y’all, the 2 night run in Savannah will be my first Phish shows! Been a fan for a few years but really got into them this past year.

I’m asking the long time Phans, who know what they’ve been playing recently, the chance of getting some of my favs. I will be spinning with anything, but there’s a few I would go crazy for.

Guelah Papyrus, Glide, Bathtub Gin, anything off The Siket Disk, Meat, Birds of a Feather, and Twist.

Also, any tips for where to find the spinners? I like having some dancing room, don’t care about being close. Thanks!

Carini Quote before it even debuted?

AT EXACTLY 6:12 OF THE JAM

The Page’s atonal Carini lick. It’s clear as day and two months before Carini exists. Were they working on it in rehearsals and Page quoted it before its live debut? Was it an improvised lick that caught their ear and led to including it in the song?

Any thoughts? Any other concrete moments where an improvised section becomes the composed section of a new song? Or possibly Phish quoting material they haven’t played live yet?

Live Bait mostly 1.0

Why is it that the vast majority of Live Bait releases are 1.0 recordings? It is like 80% era 1.0 on all of the releases. So many epic 3.0 (and 2.0) jams. Why so early - mid 90s jams?
