Maybe my most prized jersey in the collection. Ordered this as a teenager back in 2001 prior to the World Series and always LOVED the black alternates from this era. The 2001 dbacks were one of the most fun teams I ever watched (even more than my beloved Phillies). Brings back lots of memories carving out times for their national broadcasts and Baseball Tonight highlights.

For some history, these were the first uniforms worn after baseball resumed post-9/11. Randy was the pitcher and he picked up the win.

These days, I see a lot of people that got the World Series version of this jersey and though I loved the outcome of that series...I just can't. The Dbacks lost innthe WS when wearing black and Randy didn't pitch in that game.

I can never make up my mind.

Really happy with how these turned out. Wouldnt mind these becoming the standard road uniform again, to be honest.

Im a fan of collecting special event umpire hats (weird niche, surely). Typically hard to come by, this one was sort of a disappointment. The batterman logo is slightly crooked and the stitch job on the white and gold outline is...inconsistent to put it nicely.

Still a nice piece to add to the collection. While the '26 ASG was light on action, it was heavy on tradition and a reminder of why we're fans of the game in the first place.

Were I the designer, id have lowered the logo and blown it up just slightly. I have the phillies version of this as well, and the P does not look as raised to me, via the naked eye, as some others in this sub have suggested with these ASG caps.

If youre in this sub, you already understand, but as someone who anticipated AUTHENTIC special event jerseys for the 4th and a "home" ASG this year, its incredible to me the miscommunication between fanatics/nike, MLB and the fans. We're entering NHL levels of jersey deceit here.

Every special event authentic is/was advertised as exactly what players wear on the field. Yea...no. If details matter, and if a $450 price point matters, then lets point out how badly they botched these releases.

4th of July/Stars and Stripes - ships with no sponsor patch. Many would fundamentally support this, but since its advertised as exactly whats worn on the field, and mlbshop offers authentics with the sponsor patches - this is an issue

Home run derby - advertised as stars and stripes customization with 250 patch and all star game patch. Derby day jerseys had no all star patch and was left blank UNLESS they participated in the Derby - in which case the T Mobile patch is on the jersey instead of the all star game patch.

All Star Game - cant mess this up right? Regular jersey with the 250 patch and asg patch. Easy right? Wrong. On field jerseys have the ASG patch with the Mastercard logo and the retail versions do not have it.

That's 0 for 3 right there. Omitted patches, incorrect patches placed, and/or different patches altogether. Trifecta!
