Well, he fucking did it again. It's 2026 and this guy just keeps writing bluegrass tunes that feel like they could have been written at the turn of the 20th century. If we didn't know any better, you'd think it was a 100 year old cover song.

Last week I asked about doing one color, not a dedicated splitting ice dye.. but just a color. Everyone was like "go for it!" So I did.
Here it is: on Gildan white, soaked soda ash, mirror fold, rolled diagonal and then folded over the whole roll with the diagonal in the middle... "Chorus of angels" would be the closest technique comparison, inclined in a gutter, dye OVER ice using ONLY Dharma Avocado, cured for like 30 hours after the ice melted, normal washout.
I'm pleased with it! The colors are so much more vibrant than the pictures let on. I intentionally left a couple humps and bumps during the roll as to add some texture. It's interesting that the dye that didn't get dissolved on ice stayed the pigment of the dry powder (like a rusty orange color) and transferred to the shirt that way... I assumed that once it hit the damp shirt it would turn green. But, I'm kinda glad it didn't... Looks pretty cool.

Does anybody have experience using only one color?? Not a multi-tone like "Dragons Heart" or anything like that... I'm talking about using just like "blue"

I'm trying to get a monochromatic look but with varying saturation levels and swirls. I'm thinking it might be possible with (bottom -> top) - scrunch shirt > soda > ice > dye.

I want to cut and rewire the Target Corona light... I am trying to move the on/off switch to a different point on the wire. Has anybody cut the wire, purposefully or accidentally?? I'm just curious if it's as simple as two wires running through the black casing or if there is something fucked up going on inside?
