Every possible change in the new Resident Evil movie compared to the old script
As more stuff comes out for Zach Cregger's Resident Evil, the more deviations I see from the old script. While the main story is still the same, second act faced a lot of changes during the development as here are some differences that I had spotted.
IMG2:Carl (Paul Walter Hauser's character) now seems to be a swap of Pauline in the early script. Now he will bring all the exposition and be less equipped Umbrella scientist.
IMG3: Kali Reis instead still POSSIBLY plays Pauline but her role was changed to be an umbrella enforcer character which was Max in the leaked script. We can see that confirmed by the leaked videos from the set where Kali Reis (at least I think that's her) does the tough guy moment from the script.
IMG4:While I am not sure about it but the newly released BTS image from Empire magazine shows us an Umbrella scientist. While it may just be a moment later in the film I think that Cregger decided to include a flashback sequence which shows how exactly the T-Virus broke out instead of making everything just verbal like in the old script.
IMG5: From the leaked script we would assume that Paul Walter Hauser's character would become Bryan's sidekick for the sewer sequence, but judging by the leaked set videos and new Empire magazine photos we literally see Carl get dragged away by a tentacle and presumably die. While Kali Reis's character might still be alive, in the script Max died after his scene so I wouldn't expect her to do so too.
Again take everything I say with a grain of salt as it is just an observation but it makes me wonder how much of the script was changed from the old leaked draft
