New Defender owner - battery voltage concerns
I am a happy owner of a Defender 110 250S (Diesel mild hybrid) since November 2025.
My battery (I mean the 12 volt battery) voltage anxiety started with a failed software update. The update kept failing and I read here, that the battery has to be fully charged. I charged the battery, but the update kept failing. In the meanwhile, I started to measure the voltage regularly (engine bay terminals, not on the battery directly): after charging I measure ~12.5 volt, but it quickly (within 1-2 day) drops to ~12.1 volt independent from usage. I always "double lock" the car and the Wi-Fi and mobile data connections are off. Even after successful SW update, the battery "behavior" stayed the same.
I would appreciate if you could share your experience. What voltage do you measure on your car?
