The weather got drier over past few days. So it was good time to test the legs

Kids find DoDi fascinating

Explored bunch of new roads on the new bike.

My 4th bike, and probably the one that makes the other 3 make sense.
Custom steel all-road bike built by Intent Bikes, Pune, completely to my fit and geometry.
Build:
Columbus life steel tubing, zinc-oxide coated before paint
LTwoo GTR 12-speed groupset + GRX crank
38T front / 11–50T rear
Vittoria Terreno T50, 700×40c
Carbon fork, seatpost and handlebar
The goal was pretty simple: bikepacking, touring, gravel and light trails, without building something so specialised that it becomes useless the moment the road gets interesting.
I wanted enough gearing to point the bike at a mountain road with a fully loaded setup and just keep going. If a trail appears 50 km into a road ride, I want the answer to be yes.
Why steel?
Mostly because I want this bike to be an idiot-proof travelling companion.
Put it on a bus. Throw it in the back of a truck. Let an airline employee handle it like they have a personal vendetta against bicycles. If something eventually goes wrong, steel can be repaired by a competent framebuilder pretty much anywhere in the world.
And honestly, I just love how steel rides.
I already have a carbon race bike, an XC MTB and a commuter. Each one does its job better than this bike does.
That’s exactly why I wanted this one.
This is the bike for the roads that weren’t supposed to be roads, the shortcuts that turn into trails, and the “I wonder where that goes?” moments.
The idea was to build a bike that says yes more often.
That, more than any individual component, was the point of the build.

Very wet and cold ride.

During our epic 160km ride through one of the treacherous routes. with over 2200m of elevation gain and 9 hours of saddle time. We had fun.
