Need help dialing in espresso on a Vantro X1 with an EK43
Hi everyone,
I’m having trouble dialing in espresso on my Vantro X1 and would appreciate some advice.
Current setup:
Machine: Vantro X1
Grinder: EK43
Coffee: Third Wave Coffee (medium roast)
Basket: Non-pressurized
Dose: 19g
Target: 1:2 ratio (19g in, 38g out)
I’ve tried adjusting the EK43 between 2.0 and 1.0 in 0.5-step increments, but I still can’t consistently hit a 1:2 ratio with a good extraction. The Vantro X1 doesn’t display brew pressure, so it’s difficult to know if pressure is part of the issue.
Has anyone used this machine or a similar setup? I’d like to know:
What EK43 grind setting are you using for espresso?
Any tips for dialing in with the Vantro X1?
Is there anything specific about this machine that I should be aware of?
