I’m the developer behind POWTV. It started with a bit of vibe coding, followed by hundreds of hours of manual debugging, code cleanup, and refinement to make something I actually wanted to use every day.

Quick disclaimer

POWTV is strictly a media player. It doesn't come with, host, or sell any content. You bring your own legal M3U or Xtream Codes playlist, and POWTV turns it into a smooth streaming experience.

What it does

• Modern Interface: High-res posters, synopses, ratings, logos, and a clean home screen with trending rows matched to your content.
• Live TV & EPG: Full TV guide (XMLTV), favorites, catch-up, live recording on mobile, and Multiview on TV to watch multiple streams at once.
• Solid Playback: Audio/subtitle track selection, built-in OpenSubtitles, FFmpeg codecs, HDR passthrough, and VLC engine handoff on TV.
• Multi-Profile: Up to 4 profiles per account with separate watch histories, favorites, and PIN protection for kids.
• Seamless Sync: Add playlists on mobile, through our website in a browser, or by scanning a QR code on your TV screen (no typing URLs with a remote!).
• Mobile & Sync Extras: Trakt support, Chromecast, Picture-in-Picture, offline downloads, and 7 languages (EN, FR, DE, ES, PT, NL, TR).

Just to clarify right off the bat: POWTV is strictly a player, NOT a provider. Just like VLC or TiviMate, you bring your own playlist (M3U or Xtream Codes) and the app takes care of making it look and run great. No streams, no content, no subscriptions sold here!

🔑 How activation & accounts work: Every device generates its own unique ID & Key. Creating a POWTV account is completely optional — it's only there if you want to easily sync your playlists and profiles to another device (just scan a QR code on your TV). If you don't want an account, the app works just fine standalone!
