Shenks Ferry Transmission Infrastructure

At this location the Safe Harbor-Parkesburg transmission line (twin H beams) and the Safe Harbor-Perryville transmission line (lattice tower) intersect. Also present is a 69kV Face Rock-Manor transmission line, which is carried by the two circuit lattice tower in image 7. In 2011, the twin H beam poles installed by the Pennsylvania Railroad in the late 1930s that carried the two Safe Harbor-Parkesburg circuits were replaced along the entire line by Valmont Newmark NewPoles except at this one location, likely due to the elevation changes to avoid the Safe Harbor-Perryville transmission line that runs over it.
