I just started learning chess a few days ago. Every game I play on chess.com, people tell me to hurry up. Am I doing something wrong?

Like the title says, I committed myself to trying to learn chess earlier this week. I started playing on Chess.com and have been using the 15|10 game option. In like every one of my games, my opponent will say something along the lines of “hurry up” or “move faster.” I’ve been taking my time to try and come up with strategy, usually taking 30 seconds - 1 minute per turn. I know if I run out of time, I lose, so I’m careful not to go too long. I told one of them “if you want quicker games, choose shorter times” to which he responded “I DON’T GIVE A DAM.” Is it normal for people to want their opponent to move faster? I think it’s kind of rude to rush others, but I don’t know if it’s a common thing I should just get used to.
