After seeing the latest predictions for the price cap, I decided to fix my gas yesterday for 6.62p/kWh on the May 2026 v2 tariff.

However, sod's law intervened and by the time I'd got home, that fix had been withdrawn and replaced by May 2026 v1 for 6.96p.

I thought I'd try my luck this morning by asking nicely on the phone to switch to the v2, and they said yes :)

So, if anyone else feels like they missed out on that, just give them a ring and you might save a few quid on the heating this winter :)

I'm really hoping that I've made the right decision, but it was the cheapest gas fix I've seen since the Iran shenanigans kicked off...
