How to fix peeling wetsuit seam tape at home? (Warranty takes too long)

Hey guys, the seam tape on my suit is coming undone. The manufacturer offered to fix it under warranty, but I have a surf trip coming up soon and can't risk it not getting back to me in time.

I tried using the glue shown in the picture (followed all instructions perfectly), but it fails after just 2-3 sessions.

Looking for recommendations on a reliable glue and the best step-by-step method to do a solid home repair. Thanks in advance!

Looking for some feedback on a feature for a surfing app

I've built an web app called Surfilog (surfilog.com). It's mainly aimed at beginner and intermediate surfers (I'm one myself).

The app lets you log surf sessions using data from a smartwatch, rate wave quality during the session, save forecast data, add notes about how the session went, and track your progress over time.

Right now, users can compare their performance on charts for similar conditions, both by spot and overall.

I'm thinking about adding an overall "surf skill score" for each session — a single number from 1 to 100 based on session metrics. The idea is that after uploading a session, you could instantly see how it compares to your previous ones.

I'm currently trying to figure out how much weight each metric should have. These are the metrics I'm considering:

  1. Total number of waves caught
  2. Waves caught per hour
  3. Surf-time ratio (% of session time actually spent surfing)
  4. Average speed on a wave
  5. Maximum speed during the session
  6. Longest wave
  7. Average wave length

I'd love to hear your opinion: how would you rank these metrics from most important to least important when measuring progression?

Thanks a lot for any feedback!

Hey everyone! I'm looking for surfers of any level who already use their Garmin for surf sessions (up to 30 people)
I love Garmin as a fitness device, but I was really frustrated by how their software handled surf sessions - the wave detection was poor and there was basically no meaningful analytics for surfing. So I built a system that turns raw GPS data into a detailed analysis of every surf session (detailed wave detections, distance metrics, etc.) and tracks your progress over time.
I've been using it myself for about 60 sessions and it works great for me - but now I need more data to polish it up.
If you're interested, just DM me directly and I'll send you the details on how to get started. All early beta testers will get unlimited access. Thanx!
