Did Vini's renewal hinder any other potential signings?
Why have I been seeing people scolding Perez for prioritizing Vini's renewal as if it got in the way of us getting other signings? Did us getting Vini mean us not getting Rodri? Or are people just looking for something to be mad at? I'm struggling to see why shelling an extra couple million in salary for Vini meant us not being able to get Rodri. To me, it just sounded like things fell apart and Barca just swooped in.

Housed person looking to see how they can help
So as you can tell by the title, I’m not homeless. With that being said, I have always wanted to help out. In light of this, I’ve made it a habit to always carry some light cash on me. My question is; how do I know who wants money vs who doesn’t?
Some folks will have a sign but some won’t. I’ve offered cash and food/water to others before and had them turned down, so that has made me somewhat reluctant in who I offer help to. I am also worried I may offer change to someone who looks like they are homeless, but aren’t and they feel disrespected or humiliated. How should I best approach this?
[Gradient Sports] Ousmane Dembélé was the most two-footed player in Europe’s Top 5 Leagues
[Opta] Every player in Opta’s top 20 leagues averages more defensive actions per 90 than Mbappé
I know it's like beating a dead horse at this point, but I still feel that it needs be reiterated
Mbappé is simply not good enough to justify the privileges that either the club grants him or that he grants himself. I don't care whatever goal tallies you want to pull up, we have eyes.
He constantly takes it upon himself to occupy this free role where he demands the offense flows through him. If he was a Messi-esque player, or hell, even a Cherki type player, I wouldn't mind this. But he's not. He is not technical at all. His first touch is subpar, his vision is meh, his passing is nothing special, but nope. He deems himself as the 10, so we have no choice but to watch that eyesore week in and week out.
Then there's his God awful positioning. I genuinely believe that Mbappé--in all his years of playing football at the highest level, never developed the mental schemas and mind maps necessary for cohesive team play. It's like if narcissism could play football. I'm sure we've all seen the video critiques on his positioning. If your positioning is being criticized by legends of the game such as Henry, freelance tactical analysts on social media and casual viewers alike...it's time to wake up.
And last but most certainly not least, his pressing (or woeful lack thereof). This is simply something that I will never understand. What about his ability and level makes him think he's above pressing? You're no Cristiano and you're no Messi. So you know what that means? You run.
No one cares how valuable your energy and speed might be on offense. The threat of you running in behind is not worth playing with 10 men on defense. The possibility of you being on the receiving end of a splitting through ball is not worth having your teammates doing extra work to pick up your slack.
Like bro, it is the single most simple and helpful thing you can do on the pitch. You could be having an individual stinker, but if people see you running your heart out, you will always be given the grace of that effort. I don't want to hear about stamina or saving energy. It's not like he's a box to box midfielder or fullback. Literally all he has to is chase some CBs and pressure some midfielders. It's not that fucking hard. He's a 27 year old professional athlete at the peak of his physical ability. There is no fucking excuse.
We are now 2 years into his 5 year contract. That’s nearly half of his expected tenure here. And he is ranked dead last for defensive contributions in Opta’s top 20 leagues. That’s 6,045 players in total to which he is ranked 6,045th. Over 500 goalkeepers have more defensive contributions than him. This isn’t even about bashing Mbappè anymore, this is a team emergency at this point.
