Lynx s and a few beeps

I got my brand new Lynx s yesterday and went for a quick ride. Turned on DarknessBot as well.

I’m getting these small chirps right around the time I’m stopping and ready to dismount. Another time j was making a 12 mph turn. I can’t imagine j have the warnings set this low but between the wheel and the app, anyone have any idea what could be giving me the little chirps? Not an aggressive beep, but a chirp

Street tire on Lynx S

I’m excitedly awaiting the delivery of my Lynx S tomorrow. Due to a couple recommendations and frankly the availability, I went with the street tire.

I do mainly street riding and at most, I may tear off into the grass or very modest terrain. With almost everyone out there singing the praises of the knobbys I’m a little concerned that I may have made a mistake. Any street tire commuters who would sing the praises of a slick tire?

Question 2. In prep for a knobby, which should I be putting in my wishlist?

Need Help Choosing My Next 18” Wheel

I’ve gone through a few wheels over the past year. I started with a Micro Wheel and an MTEN5, then sold the MTEN5 once I outgrew it. Right now I own a NOSFET Aero, and I also bought a Begode Blitz Pro through the group buy.

I’ve realized I really enjoy riding bigger wheels. They just feel more planted and capable. That said, the Blitz is simply too tall and too heavy for me. I’m a pretty short rider, and it just doesn’t fit me as well as I’d hoped. I’ve actually got it listed for sale now.

I’m considering a Patton S. It seems like it would give me that solid, confidence-inspiring ride I’m looking for while staying in the 18-inch category, which is where I think I want to be.

I’ll admit it—I think I’m becoming a LeaperKim fanboy. After owning the NOSFET, I’ve really come to appreciate a wheel that feels reliable and exceptionally well-built.

Are there any other wheels I should be considering? I’m looking for something around 80 pounds, an 18-inch wheel, and a great all-around performer.

I had a Commander Mini for a couple of weeks while flipping it, and I actually liked it more than I expected.

Unfortunately, I live somewhere with almost no used EUC market, so buying another one would probably mean paying full price.

I don’t think the Aeon is the answer since it feels a little too close to the Aero for me.

I’d love to hear what you’d recommend.

Patton S vs?

Here’s a smoother version that keeps your conversational tone while making it easier to read:

Oahu’s best town mechanic

I think the time has come to look for another mechanic. I’ve trusted my mechanic for a while, but I just don’t think are as attentive to detail as I’m looking for. I know there are a lot of suggestions, but I really wanna know like seriously what is the absolute best mechanic in town. Kalihi to Kaimuki.

Let’s not just go by yelp reviews, who really is the best full service mechanic shop.
