I manage a ranch, then run cattle on my family place with my uncle. I spend most of my time in my office (feed truck), but my time horseback is my favorite part of the job.

Pictures I’ve taken while re-doing solar pumps, fixing water gaps, gathering cattle from the neighbors, feeding, weighing steers for contracts, hauling hay, and the other usual chores.

So far we’ve put up 172 rounds and 526 squares off 32 acres of coastal. Only 140 acres more to go.

The only thing that isn’t producing regularly is the okra. We are getting some, but it’s probably a few weeks out from really taking off. Not pictured are all of the fruits we eat as we pick them. The third picture is 12lbs of beans that we picked and canned.

Caught, sorted, and shipped a set of long bred heifers today. It was a long, hot, and humid day, that made for tired horses. Unfortunately, I left my glasses and didn’t get many pictures from the horse.

The two big zucchini were hiding under the plants, but we’ll make zucchini bread out of them.

We’ve had a lot cooler weather, with a lot more rainfall than usual, so we’ve started out slow. It looks like things are about to take off!
