I’ve finally completed my Art Deco vase to go with the magnificent Magnolia branches.

For Miss Raven my take on a Callistemon (Bottlebrush) flower.
This is made of weapons holders threaded on a 3mm 12l hose with cones at each end. Yellow crowns are inserted in alternate layers (unfortunately Lego don’t make red crowns). The end is just topped off with a poop and a locking hinge at the base helps with arranging.
I use a similar technique to make my Hyacinths but with 1x1 round bricks as spacers between the weapons holders.

As per Miss Ravens request, this may take on a Leucospermum (Pincushion Protea). It has three layers, the lower two are steering wheels with dinosaur tails attached to mechanical arm clips. The top layer is based on a boat wheel. The centre is a cone with a head and spiky hair. The inner ring is comprised of straight pin holder clips and short barbs. The outer rings are long cattle horns on mechanical arms attached to the spokes in alternating directions. The stems are inserted into the base in 2x2 round bricks on turntables to aid in the arranging. It is part of an exotic flowers display I am working on.

I was given a Lego bonsai for Christmas 2024, now look it’s taken over!
