Hear me out.
I know that George Lucas gets a lot of ribbing for tweaking his movies. But I would really like to see an upscaled version of the famous 1970s UK series with some selected special effects. For example there's a scene with Augustus and his family allegedly watching gladiatorial games but it's obvious they're in a small studio with some very tinny crowd noises added.
I have seen "complex technical concepts into clear accurate content" on job descriptions and LinkedIn profiles more times than I can bear.
Genuine question. I've seen people with appalling grammar (not just a typo or two) ask how to get into technical writing and I genuinely don't understand why. Is there an assumption one can simply use AI to write these days, therefore you don't need to be actually able to write correct grammatical English?
I want to set up some job alerts on Public Jobs. On the "Create : New Job Alert" page, there's lots of fields, but I don't see one that corresponds to a keyword alert.
For example, say I want all jobs that contain "assistant principal". Do I use "Detailed Job Description" or "Vacancy Job Advert Description: Main Duties, Tasks, Skills", or something else entirely?
I'm not seeing any technical writer vacancies. However, I'm seeing the occasional "content engineer" vacancy. Most of these read just like a technical writer role. Is it just the latest trendy name for the role? Is it easier to justify hiring an "engineer" than a "writer"?
