Have a guest who is requesting to check in early. I told them a guest checks out same day so our cleaning team needs time to ready the unit. She said her family runs a cleaning business so she is happy to clean the unit herself if it means she can be there earlier.
Is this a scam anyone has ever come across? I don’t have a problem with it since she put it in the Airbnb chat, but I’m always weary of one off situation.
Looking for advice/experience on this. My plastic oil filter housing broke during an oil change and I naturally went down the rabbit hole of metal replacements. I have the Toyota OEM aluminum cap replacement, but the standpipe height is incorrect and people suggest swapping the original GX standpipe into the metal housing. Lord and savior Car Care Nut says this is a big no-go as the bend tabs are not meant to be bent/reused and you run the risk of a loose standpipe, filter bypass, engine failure etc.
If I’m doing light wheeling (Utah, NorCal) but nothing too technical with an OEM skid plate I would feel a bit better with the metal housing as I’ve read some instances of the plastic one being impacted and cracked. However if the risk of the standpipe swap is even moderate then I would rather spill oil from a plastic housing than run my engine.
Any experiences here swapping to the metal housing? I also read people saying you run the risk of damage to the engine block during oil changes with the aluminum housing hence why Toyota/lexus decided to go with plastic.
