Anyone remember the Explorer Studio line?

The body is 10% smaller than a regular Explorer, similar to the Pro. Basswood body, mahogany neck, weighs under 8lbs.

Came in a few different colors, including a swamp ash version. It was available with mini humbuckers or with regular. It‘s an awesome guitar.

Had an afternoon to myself while in Nashville for work and made sure to stay in The Gulch between the Gibson Garage and Carter Vintage Guitars.

Carter was great, I got to play a Custom Shop LP Special, a legit 60s Gibson acoustic, and some vintage Fenders. The Garage was like walking into a high-end Guitar Center. Amazing pieces all over the place, but nothing unique in left handed.

You can guess what they had in stock, Iommi SG, Slash LPs, inspired by Gibson epiphones..nothing that got me excited. Not to mention every guitar is locked up so you need someone to help you with anything.

It’s fine if you’re looking for Gibson clothing, but spend the time at Carter.
